After spending yesterday morning (about half the day) to get the Internet running back home (before we found out our Internet supplier had the problem) I feel it relaxing with a 4 hour shift at work..
Woke up to rain pouring down on my window this morning, and I have to say that is the best way of waking up. You might not know this (or maybe you do, what do I know?) but I love when it rains and I love snow.. There are few things better than walking around in pouring rain. Or crawl up in a sofa with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book after a day playing in the snow.
Unfortunately though I didn’t get to walk in the rain this morning but I did however got to lay in bed and listen to the rain patter on the window and that was amazing too. Then I don’t know what happened but I was ready to leave super early today.. This rarely happens when I’m starting work early.
Now I need to end this with saying that I hope the riots in England will stop soon and that all I know there is safe and One Direction‘s new single ‘What Makes you Beautiful’ is actually pretty good..

When I came to work today, there broke out a discussion about clothing at work. What is acceptable and what’s not? The discussion came from one of my colleague being hot and sweating and another being cold. The Cold one asked why the other one didn’t take off the cardigan she was wearing? “Because of the dress code”. It’s like this: We are not allowed to just wear solar tanks but have to have something more on in that case. Although what she was wearing was a summer skirt, from this the discussion on the topic what is acceptable to wear to work rose. So what is acceptable?
Tank tops?
T-Shirts?
Summer dresses?
Shorts/Khakis?
Short Skirts?
String vest/coat of mail? Here most of my colleagues said “no”, but a few then corrected themselves since they had the position “wear what you want, almost no one ever sees us anyway” (we’re phone operators for a big taxi company).
But then the discussion escalated into: Is body piercings okay (era, nose, eyebrows, etc.)? Because of the statement that we are sometimes (note: very seldom!) visited by out of house guests.. So even though we barely meets anyone who’s not working in the office we have a dress code (which no one of the newly employees know about, also one of the reasons for the discussion), just in case someone would walk in (a very complicated process too btw..)
I guess it’s in order to ask you all what you think about dress codes, now I’ve bored you with this post about it..
What are your thoughts? (I actually want to know this though!) What is acceptable to you? Any conditions?

What a week.. It feels like I’ve been running four marathon races these past four days. Started work at 6 am Tuesday and after right after work I left for my cousins and her kids (lovely children). I spent all afternoon helping her installing some new IKEA furnitures, and smart as we were (what were we thinking?) we tried to move a huge cabinet one floor up with doors on and shelves in it. A floor down might have worked but half way up before we realised this wasn’t working at all. So standing in the hallway we removed the shelves and doors, making the cabinet much lighter and simple to get up the stairs. I’ve never said I was smart but this have to be one of the stupidest things I’ve done lately.. Anyhow, I wasn’t home until half past 11 or so and at that point my other cousin called (well mostly because I had been trying to reach her) and we talked for a while.
Then off starting work at 7 am on Wednesday and as a got home I had a lot to clean since we didn’t have time to do that Monday night. I cleaned so well my dad wondered where all my things had disappeared to when he got home.. (Just to clarify some of it was thrown away other I just put back into the draws and boxes where it belonged). And then a detour to my cousin, who called the day before, to see where she keeps all her cat stuff.
And I finally got to sit down and read a book, it was so nice. When I did it I truly felt it had been to long!
Yesterday, I helped my aunt to carry almost everything on her porch, out to her parking lot (around the house) and we put all of it on a trailer and then off the trailer at the tip. After that we were completely pumped out and didn’t get much more done that day. But at least now you can move around on the porch! And in spite of this my mum drags me out to look at bikes.. WHAT?! I’ve barley slept all week and I’ve just come home from moving a small room worth of things three times! When I got home I went to bed and fell asleep right away (which was around 6pm) almost all until this morning when I went up for work (started at 7am). And now I’m sitting here reading manuals for my new electronic things I’m gonna play with when I get back home..

Off work today, but almost every day I’m off work this summer I’m helping my aunt cleaning/clearing out her house. And today’s work have mostly consisted of rearranging books in her over crowded bookshelves and thrown out old magazines.
But then my fun begun, we went to different stores to look at TV/Monitor’s so I could throw my old out (It’s really old), and to unlock my old phone so I could give it to mum and she could actually use it. No hep with the unlocking the phone part (but they did refer us to a website who could help us, very wired since they have nothing with the phone or the phone operator to do.. but oh well). As for the TV part I ended up buying the 3D-monitor, a 3D Blu-ray player and a 3 meter long HDMI-cable compatible for 3D imagery (my smart dad though 3 m wouldn’t be too short..). And my dad bought a new record player (for Vinyl!) to be placed in my room (with a USB output for computer), don’t ask me why I wasn’t allowed to buy the record player for my dad. I guess he wanted it to and don’t want me to bring it with me when I move next time.
So now it’s time to connect it all (and we’ll see if I have time to switch out keyborad and mouse to wireless, probably not tonight) and that’s fast since I start working at 6 am tomorrow morning..

It is so nice to get away from the city lights sometime, don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t last a week in a god forgotten village far way from connections to the rest of the word. But I do like to sometimes turn everything off and just be (funny just as I write the word ‘off’ the screens around me got turned off), no internet, no cell phone (mostly, it does work if you’re in the right spot) and lovely family members. Family members I haven’t met for over 3 years, a shame, before that we spent at least one whole week every summer and every other Christmas together in their farm house.
So this on Thursday my mum decided that it was time for us all to drive over there (my mum, dad and sis have been there more recently then me because of my limited time spent at home during these three years), so Friday afternoon we packed us all in our car and drove off.
Saturday begun with a late breakfast (don’t think I’ll slept this long for weeks) and then we left for a flea market in the archipelago. It was amazing and beautiful unfortunately I forgot my wallet at home =( although I did manage to find enough money to buy a beautiful card for the wedding two weeks from now. After that we bought some toners for SK & DK’s printer and we went to eat at Frödings ostkakebod (Swedish Cheesecake).
While today have been offering peace and quiet, now we’re back home I’m wondering whether to buy that 3D-monitor or 3D LED TV? Well, that’ll just be a question for tomorrow wont it?

Since Sunday’s meeting got cancelled we had a meeting at 11:30 on Monday morning after my two classes.. Which only became one this lovely Monday, because my professor had been in what looked like a pretty bad accident (which made him unable to carry his laptop to class) so we got an assignment for Wednesday’s class instead. I also started to write my critical essay that was due on Thursday (and I’ll be coming to the outcome of that later..).
Once again we had a meeting on Tuesday (I’m feeling a bit productive here.. although I don’t think I should say that.. I’m also feeling we are a bit behind.. so..) and then I should have written a lot on my critical essay (which I did but not as much as I should have, it’s just no fun..) but ended up e-mailing my other professor three pursuit scenes instead.. (well, that was an assignment.. so not really something I just did because it was fun..)
Day of the due:
Why do I always sit with these thing the last minute? Am I the only one or are there others out there who do this too? Anyway, the essay was due as a hard copy at 7 pm when the class started, I managed to get it done around 4pm but.. I needed to go somewhere where I could print it.. (oh and the time I had to get it done by was 5pm, that would give me enough time to go to the film school, print it, go back, eat dinner and still make it to class on time). Phu.. I made it! It’s not good, and we were given the option of taking it back and get three days extra to finish it.. If we thought we could get 10 more points by doing that (because he would deduce 1 point for each day, so they would still get 7 more). But seeing as I am I just don’t think I can do it better than being under pressure.. so this is as good as it gets, I just hope it’s enough though..
So why do I put myself in these situations? Now I haven’t slept in awhile and still I decide that having a meeting at 8 o’clock in the morning is a good thing (when going to bed around 1:30 am..).. oh, anyway, I had that meeting and I guess we got some things done but not nearly as much as we should have.. I’m gonna get a lot of work to do during spring break in two weeks.. Then I should have seen Arthur in the theatre, but the meeting dragged on and at the end I didn’t have enough time to get to the cinema.. So I suggested that we should watch Jumanji at home instead. Said and done, we started watching it until we had to run off to the cafeteria for some dinner and I (and some other exchange students plus a few “regular” students) were off to the last Ducks (Hockey) home game of the regular season. First we ordered a taxi for 6 people (specifically told the operator we were 6 or 7 so she said she’d sent a van..) and a regular for four people showed up. At this point we were a bit late and we didn’t really have time to wait for another cab to arrive but luckily enough AJ had a car (very small but at least a car), so we squeezed six people into a car designed for four. And we did arrive in time for the game to start (we even had time to look around for a bit), although I only got to see about four and a half minute of the game because someone decided to pick me to be one of the intermission game contestants.. And were to meet when it was 15 minutes left of the first period, it was kinda fun I sat down and then I got up about 10 minutes later.. And everyone was like: What? Are you going already? And yes I was.
We’re being guided down to the basement, this is my favourite part of arenas, the basement! It’s almost always looking the same, I don’t know why, but at least I feel like recognition because of it.. Well, I guess spending about 15 years in arena basements has its mark on me. So anyway we are now getting the news that they’ve (don’t ask me who they are, because I don’t know..) changed the competition we are no longer gonna do some kind of hamster ball race thing we are now going to be running pucks.. still a race though. So we’re putting on our costumes and trying them out.. To clarify something here.. I’m wearing those shoes that are great for skateboarding (I can never remember the word for them in English).. NOT even good shoes to walk on ice with and we are supposed to bump into each other.. Anyway I’m given puck number 3 (out of 4) and I was more nervous about getting it wrong like standing the opposite way then supposed or something than the actual race part.. but oh well, the first period’s over (Ducks down by one) and we’re walking out. At least they let us run before the wiped the ice so it was a little bit easier to run but still very slippery.. They’re calling our names and we start running, so there is a guy next to me running the same way and then there are two girls on the opposite side of the ice running towards us in like a semicircle (I guess it’s called). When we’re starting I can see the guy next to me getting a head so I’m gearing up a notch (basically as much as I can.. full speed. From 1st to 2nd and then all out just like in a race with old rustic cars) and manages to get ahead of him (that could also be with the fact the I have an inside track compared to him, just as I’m passing the cone in the middle I see that I can’t take the inside track here the two girls is coming towards me in full speed breadthways so I’m deciding to run past them on the outside just to not bump into them. The biggest reason for that is that I’m feeling that I most certainly will fall if I do, but this is to prove very effective. So I’m now in the lead as I’m in front of the guy on my side and I passed the two girls on their side of the cone, so I’m just running the fastest I can. I feel my throat dry up (and all the rest of the symptoms from my synchronized skating years) but just keeps on running, I can also feel the guy getting closer as I’m rounding the second short end cone I’m once again meeting the two girls breadthways on their side, them taking the inside track so I’m once again taking the outside. And as I cross the finish line the guy (who had helped us on to the ice) now waves at me to continue and since I didn’t hear any horn or anything to show that I actually finish so I keep on running. Then I hear the horn but I’m in the middle of nowhere (kinda, I mean I’m on the ice but nowhere near any cones or lines..) so I keep on running until I get to the open gate we came out from and stops, where I find out they thought I would keep on running.. Haha, no, I saw the ice machines and knew I had to wait for them to get on the ice before I would be able to get off and I also knew I would only have to run one lap (one of the many questions I asked over and over again before we started). So I stopped and a few people were impressed (don’t ask me why) and I just kept on coughing. But at least I won an iPod nano (just as my family brings me my iPhone..), two black (I’m sorry about the ads here) t-shirts (different sizes), a cap and a sport bag, I was pretty happy with this. As I get back up to my seat my friends wonder if I knew I didn’t have to run so far.. Haha, yes I guess I did.. and at the same time, no I didn’t.. And even happier the evening ends with Ducks winning and therefore being in the playoffs and Lightning won too which makes Ranges a part of it too! So happy!
Then the day after such a great evening.. Saturday: I was supposed to write a blog post for my Film History class, and I did start, but it didn’t really work out the way I wanted.. And me and An filming our project (due Monday) didn’t really work either. We are not allowed to use ourselves in the movie and we had to have two actors/actresses in this film and we could only get a hold of one. After a while we realized we couldn’t do anything that day, so we e-mailed our professor to see if we could get an extension on the project, since we couldn’t find enough actors/actresses to be in the film and because my family was arriving from Sweden, which isn’t I lie, they were arriving just not at that moment in time. but just two hours later I got a phone call from my mum saying they’re leaving the airport and wondered if they should pick me up and if I could see when my sis’s flight new arriving time would be (1:19 am it was a over four hour delayed). So they picked me up and we went to their hotel, checked in and all, decided when they’re gonna pick me up tomorrow and then they dropped me off when they went to pick her up.
Now, tomorrow we’re gonna see Universal Studios, I’m so happy! Well, I’m off to bed.

Okay, so I’m freaking pissed and I’m telling you I’m sorry now before I even stat saying something, because I know I’ll probably say some bad stuff here..
So back in October 2010, McFly launched their new website SuperCity and the first 20 000 to sign up for a citizenship was to become pioneer citizens (meaning you would always be a pioneer and get some extra advantages). And what happened was that the site couldn’t handle the pressure from all the fans trying to sign up at the same time, so the band decided to shut down the site for another month to try to fix the bug. Everyone who had been able sign up successfully wouldn’t have to sign up again. I was one of the ones who actually got in signed up (got my confirmation e-mail about 5 days later) but never made it into the site (which some of the pioneers did).
Which leads us to November 2010, the website has a re-launch and this time it’s working just that I can’t login to the site. I’m getting the Error message saying that the details I’ve filled in doesn’t match any details the website has. Of course (because it’s me and I have a memory like a goldfish) I go back to my confirmation e-mail from a month before (which contains my password) to check if I wrote the right one. (To the story belongs the fact that I received two [yes note, two] confirmation e-mails telling me I’m a pioneer citizen in the website.) Which as it turns out I did (at least compared to that e-mail). So I’m sending an e-mail to every address I can find on the site (and also the ones who’s been sending me e-mails) to explain my situation. Which was, I am a pioneer citizen who can’t access my account but can login to the account manager..
About two weeks later (still no answer) I send a new round of messages since I really want to be a part of this, and am feeling I’m missing a lot. Still no answer, but this time it takes me a month before send my third round off messages about the inaccessible account (but access to the account manager). This time I’m getting a response, with the suggestion that I’m using the wrong web browser, and that I should try to login in Goggle Chrome.
I do this, I even try to login using Safari (I’d used Internet Explorer before), without any luck, getting the response to try and lower my cookies (which I’d already done.. but I did try it again.. I even tried lowering me security just to try) because my account worked fine for them. Yeah, well, it still didn’t work for me! And now I started to feel a bit frustrated, I mean I’d paid for this for over a month without being able to use it.. And on top of that I missed out on everything that made me sign up in the first place. Now I’m getting the question of what kind of error message I get, since the account is still working for them, but also the option to cancel my account and get a refund.. but NO I don’t want a FREAKING refund!! I want my account to work!!
On December 20, 2010 I’m getting an e-mail telling me they are sorry to hear about my login problems and that I should “rest assure” that there isn’t anything wrong with my account and they now will turn it over to the tech team to figure out the problem.
The time goes and I got other things on my mind like moving to California, but in mid February I’m sending a new message letting the people I’d contact with earlier, I hadn’t heard anything from the tech team and I still couldn’t access my account, and wondering if anyone knows how’s it going.. A month later I’m getting a reply saying they’re sorry that I’m still experiencing problems with SuperCity and that they wanted me to send in some information about my registration (e-mail and registration number) and they would investigate further. Which I of course did, but it replied with thanks for your e-mail. I’ve put a pioneer pack up for a resend since it seems to be lost (kinda). WHAT?! NO!! No pioneer pack.. I’ve already got mine.. I mean I already have that, I’ve gotten everything even the e-mails and stuff, I just can’t login. So sending a new e-mail telling them I’m a bit confused and about all my problems (the thing you’ve just read but way shorter). Which results in a new reply almost identical with the one which wanted me to send in the details (except for the word still in “.. that you are still experiencing issues..”). Which just made me mad and therefore decided not to answer since I didn’t get any real response..
So to today’s revelation and the real reason for me actually write this post.. Today was once again trying to login to the site I mean there are stuff happening all the time and I’m missing it all even though I’ve been paying for the account for over 5 months now. But today I was sitting with a friend of mine who said: “why don’t you click on “forgotten your password?” button?” Ehm, well I haven’t forgotten my password.. I know it and I have the proof in an e-mail from October 2010.. But I did it anyway just to show her that “look I’ve been writing the right one”.. and yeah well, it turns out that yeas I have been writing the right letters but for some reason the two letters I’d put down to be capital, wasn’t! No for some reason the password I’d put down for my account about 5 months ago is not the password I should have used.. No, my capital letters shouldn’t be capital.. And if someone would have asked do you have capital letters or just lower case letters and number in your password.. then this would have been over a long time ago..
And yes, I know if I’d pressed the forgotten password button earlier it would have been over too.. but you know what.. I hadn’t forgotten my password.. because I would never ever in a million year write it like that.. I have a system when I’m choosing my passwords and I’m following it! And this is a password I’m using and is remembering, plus I have that e-mail from October telling me that there should be capital letters in the password..
Anyway, this means I’ve been missing out on great fun stuff that I really wanted to see that I really could have been a part of, since there wasn’t any problem with the account, the password was just changed.. This has been pretty demanding not at least this past week (and month).
Oh well, I guess there’s not really much I can do..

So after a weekend spent in LA I wasn’t too keen on being back, but hey! What can you do? Work of course, and now my time really started to run out on me.. If I wanted a job in the U.S. when I finish school I have to find one before Friday (not gonna happen, and it’s all because of the 2-year rule in my VISA).
But Monday, stated out with a project due: The Dream Sequence! I liked it, we got to see some fun good dreams. And a few people actually liked mine, I was surprised, although they tried to make sense of a few things I thought people could use their imagination to understand for (meaning interpret it the way you want) which B actually caught up on, saying “I think we’re trying to make sense of things that aren’t supposed to make sense.” Spot on there B!
and after that I also had to sign a waiver for the intermission thing at the game next week. (I thought I heard him say something about hamster ball cages and a race, but I’m not sure.)
Then I had a lot of meetings (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) with A, which is really good. And we got a lot done =) this project is gonna be amazing when we’re done, and I’m feeling a little bit better about it.
A HUGE congratulation to my friend Den! Having her B-Day on Wednesday too! (Which I couldn’t say Happy birthday too until the day after.. even though it was just 10 minutes after..)
Before my last midterm (hopefully ever, I just don’t like having tests, I’m always so bad at them. Well, I’m usually bad when ever anything involves writing.) on Thursday. This is the same day that Anthony Horowitz latest book about Alex Rider had its release. And the day of Ley’s bachelorette party! We had so much fun, although I got to say playing bear-pong with Wine, not a good idea.. But we had fun in her room for a while until the RA for her floor and mine came and asked for our ID’s, at that point we decided to that the party to a bar or a club. Which we did, we ended up dancing at The District for a few hours before we headed home to sleep.
Friday: me and Dy decided to go to The Village, and shop. Ehm, well Dy wanted to by a skateboard and I ended up with a movie (as usual) and this time also with a take away-coffee cup (or tea..). The whole reason for me to go was to find something for Marc’s birthday, and did I do that? NO! Of course not.
Then we decided to take the bus to Brea Mall on Saturday, and I found some more stuff for my sis’s birthday, but still nothing for Marc. Got to spend some time with my friends and see a Mall I hadn’t been to before. It was good!
But I got to say today is my favourite day of the week, me and Ley decided to take the bus to the beach.. We were thinking Newport Beach but on the bus we meet a man saying Balbooa’s really nice. So rode all the way to Balbooa and started with going out to the pier.. Then looking for the ferry to Balbooa Island, which we found, and man that small island were beautiful! Lots of great looking houses and the backyards at this place (not only on that island but over here in Orange too), they are just so good looking and great! So beautiful, I wish I one of these, even though I don’t like cleaning it up.. I know ’cause my parents have pretty big backyard, and I don’t like cleaning it up even if I appreciate it being as big as it is). The waves then, they we huge, but we still went in, or almost, we walked along the waterside. It was unpredictable of how far each wave would go on the sand, so we both got soaked. Not time to jump in yet, it was freezing!
Can’t believe it’s been a week already, oh well, here we go Monday!

Hello again!
So I went to Glendale to visit my friend’s family and have some fun in LA with here. So we got there late Friday night and had an amazing Persian dinner (this is something I’ve never had before, and I can genuinely say I loved it) before we headed off to the cinema to watch Sucker Punch. And how much I liked the photography and cinematography I don’t really care for it. I mean I like it and all, and it’s beautifully done, but I don’t know. I’m getting the feeling of watching someone play a video or computer game and that’s just not the feeling I want to have when going to the cinema, because I can watch that.. for hours. But please, not in the cinema.
So then we got back “home” to Ley’s family and we slept on the stone floor in the basement.. We’re in California people and let me tell you it was colder than sleeping in a trailer back home.. It was freezing. And the worst part was that my feet were warm (usually means that the rest of my body is warm too, but this time I was freezing about my back.. and when I do that I stress it and will have a sore back the next day.. This was actually very nice. Another cousin got to the hose and we decided to go look for shoes for me (mine is totally broken, with holes all over but mostly under..), and change a bag Ki got. After that it was some kind of memorial for a known Bahaian person who died recently, so I and Ley decided to explore Old Town Pasadena while the rest of the family went to the memorial. I had a nice day in Pasadena, I bought two books =) So I was really happy.
Later we had dinner with Ley’s family and some friends to the family, it was crowded and I loved it. The Persians knows how to create a nice family atmosphere. Then I, Ley and one of her cousins went to The Baked Potato to experience a Jazz concert (Jazz fusion), with world known Jazz start. And I’ve never experienced anything like it.. It was amazing, if you ever get the chance to experience it, do it! I tell you, I had a blast!
Then back in Orange again (Sunday) it was time to edit, I have a due tomorrow. It’s supposed to be dream sequence and I don’t really know how I did it, but I think I got down some kind of experimental shit that hopefully goes home with the class.. At least I don’t have to burn the Blu-Ray tomorrow morning before class so..
